On the 6-8th of November, 2017 the representatives of the Center for Healthcare Quality Assessment and Control of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation have participated as co-organizers and speakers in the ISPOR Chapters of the Eurasian Economic Union Countries Joint Meeting and the ISPOR Russian health technology assessment Chapter meeting.
Within the framework of the ISPOR Chapters of the Eurasian Economic Union Countries Joint Meeting, the prospects for cooperation between the EEU countries in the HTA area and general opportunities for methodological support of this process were discussed, and further tasks of the Working Group on the implementation and harmonization of HTA in the EEU countries (where the Center for Healthcare Quality Assessment and Control of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation is represented) were set.
During the ISPOR Russia HTA Chapter meeting, issues of development of the HTA system in the Russian Federation were discussed using the example of the Russian Government Decree No. 871 “On the Approval of the Rules for the Formulation of Lists of Drugs for Medical Use and the Minimum Assortment of Medicines Required to Provide medical care”, regulating the process of including and excluding medicines from the restrictive lists. Within the framework of the meeting the discussion of participants and speakers took place, possibilities for improving the regulatory and legal regulation of HTA in the Russian Federation were discussed, approaches on various issues of the HTA methodology were developed
Also, the Center for Healthcare Quality Assessment and Control of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation employees took part in the 37th ISPOR European HTA roundtable and the meeting of the executive committee of the ISPOR consortium of Central and Eastern European countries. Within the framework of these events, issues of health policy and HTA in Europe and in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, further deepening of cooperation in the area of HTA in these regions were considered.
